| RESEARCH ASSISTANT | The Job :
The incumbent will join the Research & Development Section equipped with advanced and comprehensive laboratory facilities and assist the Chemist in product development projects.
• To perform polymer analysis, processing and testing of polyolefin products (polyethylene and polypropylene).
• To establish and review test methods/equipment to meet new requirements from customers and assure continuous improvement.
• To maintain laboratory facilities and equipment in good working condition, and carry out instrument troubleshooting.
• To assist in day-to-day activities for product design projects, e.g. arrangement for testing, inventory control of laboratory supplies, etc
• To maintain good housekeeping, and upkeep safety and environmental protection in the laboratory. | | |
The Person :
• Applicants should possess a Diploma in Chemical Process Technology majoring in Polymer Science. Experience in polymer material processing and testing will be an added advantage.
• The incumbent should be a team player with initiative, drive and good communication skills (written and verbal). |
