| SHIFT SUPERINTENDENTS | The Job :
The incumbent will join the Manufacturing Section equipped with latest manufacturing technology and advanced engineering control, and support the Manufacturing Manager in accomplishing corporate business objectives.
• To lead a shift team comprising Supervisor and Technicians to ensure safe and smooth plant operations.
• To be responsible for achieving production goals (qualitative and quantitative) under safe working conditions.
• To monitor plant process/equipment performance and production output, analyze plant performance data, and adjust operating conditions to achieve manufacturing goals.
• To participate in projects and/or assignments on plant/process modification and optimization.
• To identify training needs of shift members and help provide input for developing training plans.
• To participate in Health, Safety & Environment activities to enhance workplace safety & health and environmental protection.
• To support the Manufacturing Manager in the various management function, e.g. planning, organising, controlling, etc. of the Manufacturing Section. | | |
The Person :
• Applicants should possess Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Production or Process Engineering or its equivalent with minimum 8 years of experience in petroleum, chemical or polymer industries of which 5 years must be in the supervisory position.
• Applicants should have experience in handling plant upset e.g. power failure, equipment failure, computer control failure, etc., possess working knowledge of various types of process measurement devices, and is able to perform trouble-shooting of the process/equipment abnormality.
• The incumbent should be a team player with initiative, drive, commitment and good communication skills (written and verbal). |
