Fusible interlinings are used in the construction
of apparel garments. The purposes are to provide structure, support,
and shape to garments. Generally, they are non-woven and have a
specialized adhesive on one side of the product. This allows them
to be fused into the garment with either a hand iron or a fusing
press.
There are numerous type of specialized adhesive /
coating use for the fusible interlinings. TPC has developed D5010
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and G814 Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
for such application.
COSMOTHENE®EVA
D5010
D5010 is good for low temperature fusing press or ironing. It has
very high melt flow property and low melting temperature characteristic.
D5010 is mainly used in the interlining of garments, silk and other
soft fabric.
G814 has better heat resistance.
It is suitable for coating on interlining for collar, shirt, suit,
etc. It can also be coated on metal or use in small article injection
molding.
