Polypropylene (PP) shrink film are used in various
kinds of packaging such as in cosmetics, beverages, food products,
pharmaceuticals, toys, glass & metal containers, household appliances,
etc. This recyclable shrink film offers excellent mechanical strength
and puncture resistant compared with Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and
other cross-linked PE packaging film. In addition, PP material has
low density, thus it reduces the packaging weight per pack and translates
into material savings for converters.
PP shrink film can also be used to pack individual
products directly such as bread, vegetable, fruits, pizza, meat,
etc, as it is non-harmful. The film is stable at both high and low
temperatures where it does not crack, melt, brittle or tear easily,
thus is suitable for long shelve life and frozen products. PVC on
the other hand has been banned by many countries due to environmental
pollution and harmful effects.
| Typical structure of
PP shrink film is PP / PE / PP and produced by double bubble
inflation process. TPC has specially developed COSMOPLENE®
FS6612
to be used in the sealing layer of the shrink film. COSMOPLENE®
FS6612
offers high clarity and shrinkage ratio, good stiffness and
low heat sealing temperature. |
